Greenlight Capital funds returned 5.6% in the third quarter, bringing the hedge fund strategy’s year-to-date gains to 24% through the end of October.
Founder and President David Einhorn in his quarterly letter points out that the strategy’s returns outpace that of the S&P 500 Index which was up 20.6% for the same time frame.
