New Mexico furthers private equity reach, logs 2019 gains

The New Mexico State Investment Council, which oversees the investment of pension and other state assets, has witnessed private equity slightly underperform public equity investments over the last decade but still reports strong gains this year.

This week trustees are considering a $10 million allocation to industrial technology-oriented fund Anzu Industrial Capital Partners II.

The $27 billion investment portfolio currently has $6 billion allocated to private equity. The private equity portfolio is global in reach with $110 million in performance gains in the second quarter of 2019 alone. Continue Reading
