New Jersey adding $300m in private equity, real estate

The New Jersey State Investment Council, which oversees the investment for the $78 billion state retirement fund portfolio, discussed three alternative investment recommendations in private equity and real estate asset classes.

Within private equity, a total of $200 million was slated for investment with another $100 million being set aside for real estate.
