HarbourVest appoints pension exec to co-head of Tokyo office

Tadasu Matsuo has joined HarbourVest Partners as a managing director and co-head of the firm’s Japan office in Tokyo.

He will be working alongside fellow Tokyo co-head and managing director Tatsuya Kubo, who joined the firm in 2010 from Fortress Investment Group Japan, where he served as managing director and head of business development after launching that firm’s Japan business.

The $68 billion private markets firm has a well-established presence in Tokyo and Matsuo will be responsible for enhancing and building relationships with institutional investors and general partners in Japan . . .
