In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, American Hotel Income Properties REIT (AHIP) announced a temporary suspension of operations at 19 hotels, a reduction in corporate and hotel staffing, and the submission of an application to the Payroll Protection Program through the U.S. Small Business Administration as part of the CARES Act.
AHIP is a limited partnership formed to invest in hotel real estate properties across the United States. Its hotels operate under brands affiliated with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham and Choice Hotels through license agreements.
