Ruth Porat, chief financial officer of Alphabet Inc. and Google Inc., has joined Blackstone’s board of directors.
She joined Google as senior vice president and CFO in 2015 after spending 27 years at Morgan Stanley, most recently as CFO. She led many milestone transactions at the firm, including Blackstone’s IPO in 2007.
Presently Porat also serves as a vice chair of Stanford University’s board of trustees and is a member of the board of directors for the university’s endowment office, Stanford Management Company.
