Shamrock Capital Content Fund II (SCCF II) closed with $400 million in committed capital to acquire a wide variety of existing entertainment intellectual property rights, including filmed entertainment for large screens and television, video games and music publishing rights and recorded music masters.
Los Angeles-based Shamrock Capital said SCCF II will build on the investment strategy of its inaugural content fund, SCCF I, which raised $250 million in 2016 and currently holds an interest in more than 800 films, 1,000 television episodes and 5,000 music compositions.
