KKR veteran launches healthcare private equity firm

Jim Momtazee, a 21-year veteran of KKR, has launched his own investment firm, Patient Square Capital, with an aim of managing large pools of capital with the expertise to meet the "considerable and critical" needs of the healthcare world.
Formerly at KKR, Momtazee helped form the healthcare industry group and subsequently served as head of the Americas Health Care Team for more than a decade. During Momtazee's tenure high-profile investments included Jazz Pharmaceuticals (2004); HCA (2006), a $33 billion transaction which at the time was the largest cash buyout in history; PRA Health Sciences . . .
