FocusPoint expands upon family office expertise

FocusPoint Private Capital Group, a New York-based fundraising group serving private capital markets, announced the promotion of Camilla Davies to executive director, with a specific focus on family offices and the West Coast region.

The growing pipeline and increased market demand, particularly from family offices was part of the reason for Davies newly expanded role, according to FocusPoint CEO David Conrod.

“Camilla has significant relationships and has a deep understanding of the entire capital fund raising process particularly as it relates to family offices that have small investment committee’s and rely on trusted investment advisors such as FocusPoint. This type of interconnectivity with LPs can be extremely valuable to our General Partner clients,” Conrod stated. “As a firm, we always look to hire top industry veterans with tremendous expertise and insight, who are passionate about helping clients meet their specific investment outcomes by finding tailored investment solutions for their whole portfolio,” he added.

Davies began her career at FocusPoint in 2013, joining from CAIS Group. Prior to that, she worked at Credit Suisse Private Bank in London. Until recently Davies had covered the Northeast and Midwest region for the firm. 

Davies added: “I am very excited to be building out the West Coast region on behalf of FocusPoint, which continues to provide high quality fund and direct investment offerings to the institutional and family office marketplace.”

FocusPoint’s executive leadership team has successfully raised funds in private markets for over 20 years and has a track record of working with a select grouping of managers, closing on over $4 billion for a variety of third-party fundraising assignments.
