Vinson & Elkins in San Francisco added Emily Stephens as partner within its investment funds practice from Oaktree Capital Management, where she has played a role in fundraising for several funds as a managing director.
Stephens spent more than 14 years at Oaktree in managing director roles and was involved in what was a capital raise for the world’s largest closed-end distressed debt fund at $10.9 billion. She also served as an investment team member and lead lawyer for Oaktree’s flagship investment strategy focused primarily on distressed credit opportunities.
