Alternatives Watch Fund Formation survey to track manager trends

As we get ready to turn the calendar page to 2021, the editorial team at Alternatives Watch is curious what next year will look like with respect to new fund launches.

We’ve seen lots of fund raising across the board, and notably hedge funds have been seeing an increasing number of new rollouts as of late. In order to get a sneak peak into next year’s action, we are surveying fund law professionals on what trends they have seen in the alternative investment industry have witnessed.

Alternatives Watch has teamed up with fund administrator Sudrania Fund Services and marketing firm LaunchPad Creative to get a sense from the legal community of the current trends in fund formation within alternative investments.

We crafted a survey that should only take a few minutes to answer. And to thank you respondents for sharing their expertise, all respondents will receive our final report in a pdf format. The results will also be shared with our global readership.

Here is a sample of the questions:

  • What investment area(s) do you expect will make up the majority of fund launches over the next 12-18 months?
  • Which type of investment vehicle will make up the majority of 2021 launches?
  • What most drives managers’ choice of fund vehicle?

If you or your law firm are interested in participating, the full survey can be found here. And if you know someone who may want to participate, send them this link: https://bit.ly/377cIqz
