MetLife Investment Management created a senior secured private placement deal totaling $130 million for the financing of Brookfield Renewable Partners’ hydroelectric facility in Louisiana.
The Sidney A. Murray Jr. Hydroelectric Station is a 192 megawatt "run-of-river" facility located near the Mississippi River in Concordia Parish in Louisiana. Built in 1990, the facility was developed in partnership with the Town of Vidalia.
The investment is part of a larger $560 million private placement financing executed by Brookfield that was backed by MetLife’s Infrastructure team and funded by the investment firm and six unaffiliated . . .
