The $194 billion New York State Common Retirement Fund made key allocations across private capital markets totaling $1.3 billion at the tail end of last year.
A total of seven private equity funds received commitments, while four emerging manager funds were selected and three real asset funds were tapped in addition to a single opportunistic absolute return strategy. The investments were detailed in a December report issued by the retirement fund.
The private equity strategies ranged from ESG oriented strategies, renewable energy infrastructure to early-stage technology ventures.
