Robert Steers, co-founder and CEO of Cohen & Steers, experienced a brain aneurysm on Saturday, February 20, prompting officials to name Joseph Harvey president and acting CEO as Steers takes a medical leave of absence.
Harvey said that Steers underwent a successful surgery to repair the aneurysm and is currently in intensive care.
“As we remain focused on delivering for our clients, we wish Bob and his family the very best,” Harvey added. Harvey will also be a member of the firm’s board of directors.
