Brightstar Capital Partners has closed its second fund offering, handily hitting its hard cap of $1.27 billion in addition to raising $190 million from limited partners for co-investments alongside Fund II.
Andrew Weinberg founded Brightstar in 2015 to make control-oriented investments in North American middle market companies. Since its founding and with the closing of this second fund, Brightstar has raised a total of $2.3 billion in committed capital from a diverse set of institutional investors including corporate and government-sponsored pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, family offices, endowments, foundations and insurance companies . . .
