Warburg Pincus adds commercial aviation financing arm

The $60 billion global private equity firm Warburg Pincus has launched Aquila Air Capital, a specialty finance platform focused on aerospace.

Working in partnership with Al Wood, a veteran in the aerospace industry, and investment firm Kepler Hill Capital, the new investment platform will have a broad mandate to purchase, finance and lease aircraft, engines and other aviation equipment.
