Vatic hires former Citadel exec as CIO

Vatic Investments hired Allen Poteshman as chief investment officer and head of statistical arbitrage, a newly created position at the New York-based systematic quantitative investment manager.

Poteshman reports directly to Founder and CEO of Vatic James Chiu and oversees the firm’s investments across all asset classes including a new statistical arbitrage strategy. Previously, he was a managing director in Citadel's Global Quantitative Securities group and a senior vice president in D.E. Shaw's Equity Stat Arb group, where he spent 11 years.
