The $55 billion Carlyle Group subsidiary AlpInvest Partners exceeded its initial targets with the $3.5 billion fundraise for its eighth co-investment fund, the firm reported earlier this week.
AlpInvest Co-Investment Fund VIII invests alongside GPs in private equity buyouts and growth capital transactions across industry sectors, globally. According to the firm, the current 27-strong co-investment team with offices in New York, Amsterdam, Hong Kong and San Francisco have committed more than $12 billion to more than 280 equity co-investments over the past 20 years.
