Alternative investment industry assets soared by at least $97 billion in April 2021, as measured by the fund launches and closes reported by Alternatives Watch during the month.
The firms leading the way were EQT, KKR, Ares Management, Genstar Capital and Ardian, which accounted for $60.4 billion between them and showcased the greater demand for private equity and real estate offerings, specifically.
For the year-to-date through April, private market fundraising totaled $192 billion as measured by the Alternatives Watch Manager Scorecard.
