Voya raises $300m for renewable energy debt fund

Voya Investment Management, which has more than $70 billion in private and alternative investments, completed the $300 million first close of an infrastructure debt fund focused on project financing in the renewable energy space.

The launch follows the hiring of former Pegasus Capital managers Tom Emmons and Edward Levin, who are co-heads of Voya’s direct infrastructure team responsible for origination, underwriting, structuring and management of mezzanine and stretch senior opportunities in renewable energy infrastructure projects.
