New Jersey-based hedge fund manager Crawford Lake Capital Management is backing a fundraiser for Kool Kids Passaic, a Jewish community organization for youth with disabilities in the Passaic/Clifton area.
The event will feature an Art Show featuring the Kool Kids’ group’s artwork and takes place on June 22 from 6pm to 8pm in Passaic. The sponsorship from Crawford Lake and New York non-profit Bear Givers EmpowerArt Program allows for 100% of the proceeds from the sale of the artwork benefiting Kool Kids Passaic.
“As a parent of a child with special needs, it’s important for them to engage in activities such as painting to enhance their self-esteem,” said Jeff Schachter, president of Crawford Lake. “I am looking forward to seeing the artwork made by all the children knowing it will benefit a great organization.”
Crawford Lake also backed a unique virtual fitness program for Kool Kids with another local charity called Phyt Cares earlier this year.
“Kool Kids Passaic is looking forward to our annual art show featuring artwork made by our participants with special needs,” said officials at the non-profit in thanking the sponsors for their support. “Art is an important form of self-expression for our youth, and participating in the art show builds their self-esteem and sense of empowerment.”
