Anterra Capital, a venture capital firm specializing in agriculture and international food, held its initial closing of its second food and agriculture technology fund with a raise of $175 million.
The Anterra F&A Ventures II is tracking toward an upsized second fund going into a final close anticipated in the third quarter.
The new fund was backed by Eight Roads Ventures, which is backed by Fidelity, and Rabo Investments, the captive investment arm of the largest global food and agricultural bank out of the Netherlands -- Rabobank.
