BlackRock along with a consortium of 10 global institutional investors held an initial $250 million first close for its Climate Finance Partnership (CFP), a flagship blended finance vehicle with an aim to invest in climate infrastructure.
The investment focus is on climate infrastructure initiatives across emerging markets aiming to accelerate the global transition to a low carbon economy, according to BlackRock.
The French Development Agency, the KfW Development Bank, the Japan Bank for International Cooperation, the Grantham Environmental Trust, the Quadrivium Foundation and another private foundation committed a combined $112.5 million in catalytic capital . . .
