The $34.5 billion Texas Municipal Retirement System (TMRS) is prepping a search for a new chief investment officer following the resignation of T.J. Carlson that officials said is effective on Sept. 7.

Carlson spent over seven years at TMRS and built a first-rate investment team, according to TMRS Executive Director David Wescoe.
Carlson has accepted the CIO post at Missouri State Employees’ Retirement System (MOSERS) and plans to join the $9 billion pension system on October 1.
