The $181 billion Teacher Retirement System of Texas has added 10 funds in private equity, real estate and infrastructure portfolios last month, including allocations to two new firms.
Within the $29 billion private equity portfolio, venture/growth equity and small-to-mid-cap buyout were in focus in the latest commitments. Alpine Management Services was a new manager added to the program as the firm received a $55 million commitment for its latest fund -- Alpine Investors VIII, a U.S.-focused middle market buyout offering.
