Stonepeak closes on the largest broadband deal in years

Stonepeak officially closed its $8.1 billion acquisition of Astound Broadband, the sixth largest U.S. cable operator in the U.S., operating regional providers such as RCN, Grande Communications, Wave Broadband and enTouch Systems.

Stonepeak, which specializes in real assets and infrastructure, recently closed its first renewable energy fund, the Stonepeak Global Renewables Fund, at its $2.75 billion hard cap, more than double its original $1.25 billion target.
