In a continuation of TCI Fund Management’s campaign to get more value out of its and its investors’ equity in Canadian National Railway Company, the investment manager has announced that it will requisition a timely special meeting of CNR’s shareholders in order to refresh the board of directors.
Specifically, TCI will ask that meeting to add four nominees to the board: Gilbert Lamphere, Allison Landry, Rob Knight, and Paul Miller. In a statement, the firm described this slate as possessing “deep railroad operational experience” which, it added, is “something the current Board lacks.”
