The $16.5 billion University of Michigan endowment has selected four new investments within its venture capital portfolio in recent months and is considering another $155 million in new commitments at this month’s trustee meeting.
The four firms that received commitments earlier this year were Cresta, 8VC, Accel and Y Combinator.
Cresta received in August a $190 million allocation for an investment sponsored by the Dallas-based firm. The manager is focused on contracting and developing infrastructure projects integral to the transition to a lower carbon economy.
