European life sciences player HealthCap announces new hire, promotions

European life sciences venture capital firm HealthCap appointed Dr. Mårten Steen as co-managing partner, taking a seat alongside Founding Partner Björn Odlander.

Mårten became a partner at the Stockholm, Sweden-based HealthCap in 2010 and has played key roles in many of the firm´s most successful investments, including Wilson Therapeutics, a developer of treatments for ultra-rare orphan diseases that was sold in 2020 for about $800 million.

HealthCap also announced a new hire and several other promotions.
