Texas pension adds $550m to private equity

The $37 billion Texas County & District Retirement System tapped nine new holdings to its private equity portfolio that continues to expand.

The portfolio grew by $550 million over the course of a month or so at the Austin-based pension system.

At the end of August, Riverside Micro-Cap Fund VI received a $125 million commitment. Managed by Riverside Co., the fund is thought to be targeting $1.5 billion in assets to invest in smaller companies.
