Sachem Head eager to engage in discussions with US Foods

Activist investor Sachem Head Capital Management has built a considerable stake in US Foods Holding Corp., according to an SEC filing on Oct. 4.

Including both stock and options positions, it now controls 9.2% of the equity of the company and it intends “to engage in discussions with…Issuer’s management and board of directors” on such issues as its strategic plans, governance, and the composition of the board.
