New York Teachers tap seven funds in recent private capital outlay

The $121 billion New York State Teachers' Retirement System has allocated in recent months to private equity and debt firms with total commitments of $1.5 billion.

The majority of allocations were in private equity with six funds tapped from June to September 2021.

The funds hired were: Tenex Capital Partners III ($125 million); Amulet Capital Fund II ($130 million); Nautic Partners X ($300 million); Linden Capital Partners Fund V ($150 million); Kinderhook Capital Fund 7 ($250 million); Clearlake Capital Partners VII ($300 million). All the funds were focused on middle-market buyout strategies.
