The Illinois Teachers’ Retirement System in Springfield has added five managers to its private equity and real assets programs following partial redemptions in its diversifying strategies program.
The $64 billion pension fund has also improved its funded ratio slightly to 42.5%. The state government added a 4% increase to its contribution for the current fiscal year and the system also saw 25%-plus investment returns over the course of the year.
