The Teachers' Retirement System of Illinois (TRS) added numerous managers across its private equity, real assets, fixed income and diversifying strategies portfolios.
The $64 billion retirement fund added a total of $1.2 billion across the portfolios as the board of trustees approved a state government contribution to TRS of $5.89 billion. The system reported 25.5% investment gains for the year.
