BC Partners raises $1.2bn credit fund

BC Partners Credit, the credit arm of €40 billion ($45 billion) BC Partners, closed its Special Opportunities Fund II at $1.2 billion.

Special Opportunities Fund II far exceeded its $750 million target. The strategy includes both illiquid and liquid investments with a focus on private originations and secondary investments in North American and European markets. The return streams are achieved by current income, capital appreciation, structural protections and monetizing illiquidity premia.
