The alternative investment boom continued unabated with roughly $62 billion in fund closes across private fund heavyweights, according to the November 2021 Alternatives Watch Research Manager Scorecard.
Leading the way were the official closes of the EQT Infrastructure V fund at $18 billion and the $16 billion raise for the Oaktree Opportunities Fund IX, a distressed debt fund. The headlines showcase the growing interest in infrastructure and debt strategies.
Over 50% of the fund’s raised were private equity strategies, while 24% were within credit.
