Invesco veterans plot hedge fund launch

The founders of a new hedge fund firm, Tectonic Investors, are planning an imminent launch for a fund that will pursue a fundamental, thematic, global equity long/short strategy.

The founders are old Invesco alum Jeffrey Everett and Bert van der Walt. Everett is the former chief investment officer of Invesco’s Global Core Equity Group, which oversees approximately $10 billion in assets. Van der Walt worked with Everett at Invesco as a portfolio manager from January 2017 until November 2020.
