Blackstone Infrastructure Partners, a unit of $731 billion Blackstone, is expanding its renewables portfolio in North America with a commitment totaling $3 billion in Invenergy’s clean energy platform.
Blackstone, which has invested $13 billion in renewables since 2019, agreed with Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ) and Invenergy to invest in Invenergy Renewables Holdings, the largest renewable energy company in North America.
The deal sees Blackstone providing capital to accelerate Invenergy’s renewables development activities as CDPQ and Invenergy continue to be majority owners of the company.
