Oaktree raises $3bn for real estate debt fund

Oaktree Capital Management is the latest private debt shop to close a real estate debt offering, with its third fund raising $3 billion at the end of 2021.
The largest fundraise within real estate debt for the firm, Real Estate Debt Fund III (REDF III) is more than 30% larger than Oaktree’s predecessor fund. The investment strategy centers on a broad landscape of commercial and residential real estate debt opportunities.
