Texas pension kicks off 2022 with PE allocation

The $42 billion Texas County & District Retirement System made a $46 million commitment to a venture fund earlier this year.

The Hillhouse Venture Fund VI is run by Hong Kong-based Hillhouse, which was founded in 2005.

As of the end of September, the Austin-based pension fund had roughly $9.8 billion in private equity investments, which had returned over 58% for the past 12 months.
