CBRE Group announced an investment in venture capital firm Fifth Wall’s Climate Technology Fund with an eye on boosting next-generation sustainability in commercial real estate.
The fund is slated to invest in technologies aimed at decarbonization within commercial real estate and in energy and manufacturing sectors as well. Last month, Fifth Wall closed its European Fund, at €140 million. That offering attracted real estate firms such as Azora Capital, BNP Paribas Real Estate, Ivanhoe Cambridge, PGIM Real Estate and Tramway Capital.
