Philadelphia-based Glenmede appointed Nicholas Warren as chief investment officer of its Endowment & Foundation Management business.
Warren had spent more than a decade at Brandeis University in Waltham, Mass., where he was chief investment officer for the university’s $1 billion-plus endowment.
At Glenmede, he will be responsible for driving investment policy and strategy for more than $11 billion in assets under management. He is succeeding Stephen Lehman, who is retiring from the firm after more than two decades of service. Warren will report jointly to Adam Conish, director of Endowment & Foundation Management and Peter Zuleba, director of investments.
Prior to overseeing the asset allocation decisions, portfolio construction and manager selection at Brandeis, Warren was a managing director and hedge fund consultant at Cambridge Associates, where he managed relationships with endowment, foundation, pension plan and ultra-high-net-worth family clients across the U.S., Europe and the Middle East.
“Nick’s background and experience in public, private and alternative investments will complement and enhance our current investment process and philosophy,” said Conish, “We are a nationally recognized boutique outsourced chief investment officer that provides customized solutions to our clients and Nick’s addition to the team will keep us at the forefront of the industry.”
