Blackstone recently relocated to a new office space near Seoul’s central business district of Gwanghwamun and hired Chris Kim to lead a newly created local real estate team.
Kim joins from Angelo Gordon, where he was most recently their co-head of Korea Real Estate. He reports to Yung-Ku Ha, the firm’s executive advisor for South Korea, who joined Blackstone last year and has now been appointed chairman. Eugene Cook will continue in his role a managing director leading Blackstone’s South Korean Private Equity business.
