Spouting Rock Asset Management hired Marc Brookman, former CEO of Schroders North America, as chief executive officer as part of a series of leadership changes.
The $3.1 billion multi-boutique manager platform named Andrew Smith as chairman and current chairman John Coyne is transitioning into an advisory role for the firm and remains on as an investor.
Brookman brings more than three decades of industry experience to the firm and will help broaden its distribution efforts and shared services model, according to Smith. Prior to Schroders, Brookman worked at Morgan Stanley for more than a decade where he was head of institutional wealth services, products and sales and was also responsible for Graystone Consulting.
Over the past three years, Bryn Mawr, Pa.-based Spouting Rock has added several leading managers to its platform, including Penn Capital Management Company, LLC., Glovista Investments, Bell Asset Management and Old Hill Partners.
“Spouting Rock has set a new standard for multi-boutique managers in the United States,” said Brookman in taking on the CEO role. “After working with large firms for more than 30 years, I’m honored to join such an innovative, growth-oriented organization that is offering the benefits of a large firm — scale, efficiency, brand and distribution — and combining it with the benefits of a boutique firm — investment focus, ownership, strong performance and alpha generation — to provide investment solutions that seek to enhance portfolios and protect wealth.”
The firm was founded in 2018 and provides alternative, traditional and thematic investment solutions.
