The Virginia Retirement System (VRS) Board of Trustees appointed Andrew Junkin as the $100 billion pension fund’s chief investment officer.
He will being his new role in September as current VRS CIO Ron Schmitz prepares to retire in January 2023, working through the end of the year to provide continuity and facilitate an effective transition.
