The $200 billion Teachers’ Retirement System of Texas added private equity, energy and natural resources funds in recent weeks, as well as a digital assets venture capital fund, with commitments totaling $685 million.
Private equity commitments remain sizable at the Austin pension with $620 million going to a variety of strategies. Funds selected were: Apollo Investment Fund X ($400 million); Eighth Cinven Fund No. 1 ($200 million); and CoinFund Ventures I Onshore ($20 million).
