VSS Capital Partners has boosted its investment team with the hire of Brad Corbin as principal. Corbin, who served most recently at BBH Capital Partners, will focus on sourcing new investment opportunities, performing due diligence and supporting the management teams of VSS portfolio companies.

In his recent three-year stint as vice president of Brown Brothers Harriman’s private equity strategy, Corbin was responsible for deal sourcing activities and overseeing deal execution for new platform investment opportunities. Corbin started his investment banking career providing financial advisory services to pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and healthcare companies for Lazard Frères & Co. in 2009, and along the way he also developed investment experience in the technology and business services sectors.
In a statement welcoming Corbin to the firm, VSS Managing Partner Jeffrey Stevenson said “[h]is experience and business expertise will further augment our deal-execution efforts across all of the firm’s verticals, while his industry relationships and sourcing proficiency will be instrumental in securing new platform investment opportunities.”
New York City-based VSS focuses on the healthcare, business services and education sectors and currently manages $4 billion in aggregate committed capital across eight funds. The firm hired Eric Kim as principal and Sai Parepally as vice president in late July.
