PE dry powder being put to work as weekly alts deals reach $19.5bn

Divided by asset class, Alternatives Watch tracked a total of roughly $19.5 billion in deals publicly announced in the five-day period for the week ending Sept. 16.

Private equity: $17.5 billion

• WindRose Health Investors invested an undisclosed amount in Third Wave Recovery Systems, a provider of rebate administration services for hospitals, long-term care facilities and select specialty physician groups.
