Institutional investors have been adding additional capital to private and core real estate strategies in recent weeks, according to the latest AW Research Investor Scorecard that analyzed over $15 billion in investor activity over the course of August.
Our review of mandates found that real estate allocations totaled $5 billion, or slightly more than private equity mandates that totaled $4.8 billion as allocators continue to seek ways to head rising inflation and rates. Credit allocations totaled $3 billion and increased some distressed debt mandates.
