Aegon Asset Management hired Dan Cascarano as senior manager, private fund sales.
Cascarano is based in Denver and in the new role will report to Aegon’s Head of Global Consultant Relations and Global Financial Institutions Anne Coupe. His focus is selling Aegon AM’s private investments to North American family offices as well as endowments and foundations for the Midwest and Western regions.
Aegon’s private markets offerings include opportunistic credit, U.S. bank loans, U.S. bank loan CLOs, agricultural mortgage loans, global sustainable real estate securities, natural resources/energy private equity, U.S. commercial mortgage loans and structured finance.

His significant industry experience and private markets expertise will greatly enhance our current efforts,” Coupe said in a statement. “I look forward to working with him as we look to build our network among family offices and endowments/foundations.”
Previously, Cascarano was a principal at Hamilton Lane, where he raised assets for various private market offerings. Before Hamilton Lane, in addition to being an equity investor, he built the National Accounts and Institutional Relations Group at 361 Capital, focused on a variety of traditional and alternative products, including private market offerings.
